Tico-Tico no fubá is an old favourite tune of mine – I learnt it when I was studying music at University and even performed it in my final performance exam nearly 10 years ago. I had always associated it with acoustic guitar but it’s great fun on electric, and it proved the perfect opportunity to use the ‘modern humbucker’ setting on my Fishman Fluence neck pickup – probably the one I use least, but super smooth for this Latin jazz vibe.
