
Andy Watt – Guitarist
Andy Watt is a guitarist and mandolin player based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. He graduated from Newcastle University’s BMus (Hons) Folk & Traditional Music degree in 2012 and has been in demand as a performer and teacher ever since. He performs and records regularly with fiddle player and singer Tom McConville and has played with many other well known musicians including Alistair Anderson, Chris Newman, Shona Mooney and Jacob Heringman. As a teacher he has taught hundreds of guitar students across a wide range of abilities, ages and styles, and believes in taking an individually tailored approach to each student based on their interests, goals and musical needs.
His first EP of original compositions ‘Trip Hazard Sessions Vol. 1’ was released on Bandcamp on 28th August 2020.
