I’m a massive fan of the band XTC – I’ve been listening to their albums a lot recently and I love the way they use interesting chord sequences within catchy pop songs. This week’s jam is loosely inspired by their music – the A part just changes between A major and E minor 7th, while the B part goes A – Faug – D – G11 – A – Faug – D – F7 – E7. Some tricky changes to play over, and in the spirit of XTC I’m thinking melodically here rather than trying to cram too many notes in.
